Random Smatterings 12 or So....

Nothing really big to report right now, so I thought I would just give you a few little tidbits to remind you that I'm here and I luvs you all!

- I'm beginning to like taking the bus to work everyday. I keep thinking there's an entire post that should be devoted to it, but I must confess, nothing really noteworthy has happened. I do like the lack of responsibility that the bus gives me. I don't need to worry about traffic. I don't need to keep my eyes on the road. When leaving work each day, I get on at the first stop on the route, so I'm guaranteed a spot. I didn't expect to enjoy it this much.

- I am obsessed with Pink's "So What" song. Seriously- I probably listen to it 10 - 20 times per day. Cause Really? I'm a rock star. If I could figure out how to do a video post, I would totally show off my rock movez (yo.)

- I discovered a new game on Facebook called "Who's Got the Biggest Brain?" So far I'm at genius levels. Pretty cool huh? Except that's just the tip of the iceberg. My darling Goth? Yeah- he's a "Space Ace." Apparently that's smarter. So I need all of you to befriend me on Facebook and start playing. I totally want to see how smart I am in comparison!!

- I've been thinking about throwing a party. I feel like I've become kind of hermit-like of late. Except I would have to do it soon- I have a friend who is WAY pregnant. What kind of theme would I do this year? I mean it's going to hard to top last year's "Lamest Party Ever" theme.

- I had to scrape ice off my car the other morning. Boo.
- I bought jeans and a string of pearl beads this weekend. Happiness.

OK- so my questions to you, my darlings:

1. Do you ride the bus to work? Do you enjoy it?
2. Who wants to be my Facebook friend so I can totally kick a** on my latest nerdy game obsession?
3. What should my next party theme be?

xo

No - I don't ride the bus. It's faster for me to walk or bike to campus. I used to take the bus in Wpg. It was the 18...so I wouldn't say the experience was particularly enjoyable.

I don't play games on Facebook. Used to play tetris...but it was too addictive. But we can still be friends if you want.

I saw a party theme where everyone represents a country - you bring a dish and a drink from that country. So, it would be a potluck with dishes from around the world.

I love that Pink song!! I was just saying how im devoting that to my ex!!!

"I'm still a rock star
I got my rock moves
And i don't need you
And guess what
I'm having more fun
And now that we're done
I'm gonna show you tonight
I'm alright, I'm just fine
And you're a tool
So so what?
I am a rockstar
I got my rock moves
And i don't want you tonight"

Love that!!!!

1. yes and not often. people who have a seat on the bus and don't let pregnant people and the elderly sit down suck.
2. I'm already your friend on Facebook and have not yet received a challenge to prove my brain is bigger.
3. A tribute to TUMS.

I also would like a cupcake.

I will totally be your friend on facebook, except I already am...send me the game - I might consider it.

I AM your FB friend... maybe I should challenge your brain size!
And, yes, I do ride the bus to work. I would love it more if it was just one bus, rather than two plus a train.
And if people didn't smell.

Oooh buses...

When i lived in Battersea i would get the bus (49 or 345 in case anyone really cares) to South Kensington in order to cram myself into a moving sardine can we commonly call the Tube. Too bloody unpredictable. And why do three always come along at once? At least you can sit at the front on the top deck and pretend you are driving....

Unfortunately now I have the joys of commuting on the train into London which means getting up stupidly early and sitting on a train for 1.5hrs... but working from home for a couple of days a week mitigates that!!

I only take the bus if desperate - I get travel sickness and have to walk the last 2 miles to avoid blowing chunks over the person in front of me.

Gave up on Facebook - sorry!

Have a Superhero party - you can be Wonder Woman!

I used to ride the bus, and I may ride the bus again, but for now, I walk almost everywhere when I"m on my own.

your game sounds interesting, perhaps I'll try it out.

I like psychgrad's idea for a party, so I second it.

I freaking LOVE that song!

And also - I WISH I could use public transporation to get to work. Because I so absolutely 100% would!

No busses in Po'dunk Georgia, so I can't ride one. But if I were in Atlanta I could ride Marta and be scared for my safety all the time. Why is it public transportation has to also be scary?

Ok. So in order of questions.

No. I take the train and its great. Its about an hour trip and I get a good sleep there. Nobody cares if you snore or drool, so long as you don't keep anybody else awake.

Yes. Invite away my friend, invite away.

Shiny shoes.
